On the floor, it is, the heart
Mistreated and plucked out.
For a while now, drowned deep in tears.
Searched for the faults;
There seemed to be none.
Thought life gets heightened
Instead, levels of anxiety thickened.
Once a beloved now unloved.
Why the sudden change of events?
Ever unloved by the beloved? Ever got blamed for no reason at all? Ever explained for mere reasons? Ever had sleepless nights? Ever drowned the pillow in tears? Ever fought meaningless fights?
Half the world is fighting the same fights as the moment pass by. A prodigy turned into prodigal on someone else's fingertips waiting to be loved.
Who is responsible for this depression? I would say, it's our own self. We blame on reasons to feel better but who planted and watered them in the soil of your hearts? It's us.
Life throws us into depression by attacking us frequently. That's fair. That's a necessary fight; it helps us grow. What we gain on a whole is patience, perseverance, reasonable expectations, self-discipline, commitment, and trust.
But nowadays people are living in depression and inaugurating it. This isn't fair. It's an unnecessary fight. It’s a mere waste of time and energy. Life is tough as it is; we allow people who harsh our mellow and make it even tougher in the name of love.
If it's drowning you in tears, is it love? Be true to yourself.
Before depression becomes your companion, take the lead and drive it away. Don't distract yourself.
We are placed on this earth to prosper not to be bothered. Don't expect the wrong and you should be a change from within.
We are too precious to be sad. Get hold of the light, the twinkle in your eye and do not trade it for any person who may or may not be looking out for you. The right person will strive to keep the light alive. They don’t deprive every ounce of it from you. Know the difference.
You deserve to be joyful, anything less than that isn't worth your magnificence despite its one millimetre away from the gateway of depression.
